About Cournale & Co.

Cournale & Co. is a third-generation family business with a long history in San Francisco.

The business was originally established in Vallejo, California by Charles Cournale in 1945. Two years later Cournale & Co. relocated to San Francisco where its office was established on Geary Boulevard.

Charles’ son, Clyde, joined the firm in 1950 and spearheaded a strong sales staff and insurance brokerage through the 1960’s. Clyde served as President of the San Francisco Board of Realtors in 1970 and was a Director of the California Association of Realtors (C.A.R.) for several years throughout the 1970’s.

Under Clyde Cournale’s leadership, the office building at 4630 Geary Boulevard was developed in the early 1970’s and the company moved to brand new offices in 1974. Cournale & Co., a “full service” real estate operation, enhanced its full scale property management services, private real estate loan brokerage, sales and insurance services to its clients during this period.

Clyde’s son, Curtis, joined the firm in 1983, specializing in real estate sales and private loan brokerage. He served as President of the San Francisco Association of Realtors in 1999 and was also a C.A.R. Director for twenty years.

The business has always been supported by an outstanding staff that takes great pride in their professionalism and service.

Real estate buyers, sellers, owners, renters, borrowers, and lenders are all welcome at Cournale & Co.!
