| Charles Cournale established Cournale & Co. in 1945 when he opened his first office in Vallejo, California. In 1948 the first San Francisco office was opened on Geary Boulevard at 27th Avenue. In the 1960’s the company relocated to the corner of 25th Avenue and Geary. In 1974 we moved to our current location in the Geary Executive Building, a Cournale & Co. development, located on Geary Boulevard at 10th Avenue.
Curt Cournale joined the firm in 1983. Curt also served as President of the San Francisco Association of Realtors in 1999. He is currently a State Director of C.A.R. He has been President of Cournale & Co. since 2000.
 Cournale & Co. is now in its third generation of family ownership and operation. Current involvement in real estate business includes sales, property management, financing, and development. We have diversified business over the years to assist our clients as a “Full Service” operation, enabling the firm to prosper for over fifty years!

Clyde Cournale, son of the founder, Charles Cournale, was President of Cournale & Co. from 1967 to 1999. He also served as President of the San Francisco Board of Realtors in 1970 and was Regional Vice President of the California Association of Realtors (CAR) in 1971.
